Emmanuel

T’was the night before Jesus came

and all through the town;

Bethlehem was full and too busy to sound

the trumpets that their Savior was just moments away

from being born to a virgin that very day.

Amongst the barn animals Mary gave birth

to our Wonderful Counselor, Prince of Peace on the earth.

The angels appeared to the shepherds that night,

they were led by a star so undeniably bright.

To the place he was swaddled, in a manger he lay,

the Shepherds came praising and without delay.

And what to their wondering eyes would they see?

Yes the Light of the World, there is no fear in thee.

For Joy to the world, the Messiah is here!

His name is Emmanuel, our God has appeared.

To Shepherd his people in the humblest of ways,

He dwelt with them then, as He does still today.

God became flesh through His son on that night,

The prophecies were revealed, Jesus lived a sinless life.

He knew with all his might that salvation was for all;

it’s by grace we have been saved, if you can recall.

Through His death on a tree,

His blood was shed for you and me.

Redemption is here!

From the grave He appeared.

God three in one is with us forever.

Call out to him in faith; whenever, wherever.

So this Christmas Eve night would you remember the greater?

Our Savior, our Maker, and our perfect Creator.

Who chose us before the foundation of the world,

his love is perfect, it can never be earned.

Call out to Emmanuel wherever you are this day,

Your decision will be eternal, He won’t lead you astray.

A very Happy Birthday to you, Jesus.

And to all, a Merry Christmas night.
